The First Scientific Dissertation in Ukraine on Laser Coagulation for Varicose Veins — 2012

In 2012, Vasyl Volodymyrovych Shaprynskyi, working as a vascular surgeon at the Vinnytsia Regional Clinical Hospital named after M.I. Pirogov, defended his PhD thesis titled "COMPLEX TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH VARICOSE VEIN DISEASE OF THE LOWER LIMBS USING ENDOVENOUS LASER COAGULATION."

Scientific supervisor: Larisa Mykhailivna Chernukha, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Leading Researcher at the O.O. Shalimov Institute of Surgery and Transplantology.

The research was based on the doctor's own surgical experience and also involved a scientific experiment studying the effect of the laser wave on the vascular wall.
