Defense of the PhD (Candidate of Medical Sciences) Dissertation by Phlebologist Natalia Viktorivna Semenenko

In 2024, Natalia Viktorivna Semenenko defended her dissertation titled "SURGICAL TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH VARICOSE VEINS OF THE LOWER LIMBS USING THERMAL AND NON-THERMAL TECHNIQUES."

Scientific supervisor: Larisa Mykhailivna Chernukha, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Chief Phlebologist of Ukraine, and Leading Researcher at the O.O. Shalimov Institute of Surgery and Transplantology.

The research was based on analyzing and comparing treatment outcomes in patients with varicose vein disease treated with various evidence-based minimally invasive techniques — endovenous laser ablation, radiofrequency ablation, glue ablation, mechanochemical ablation, and foam echo-guided sclerotherapy. All of these techniques are successfully used by our specialists at the clinic to treat patients.
